Why is saline nasal solution used?

• Supportive treatment for nasal congestion

Do not use nasal saline solution:

• When used correctly, there are no special precautions to take.

Warnings and Precautions:

• Ointment: Do not use if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients in the ointment.
• Spray: No application tests.

Possible side effects:

• Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you experience tightness in the throat, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, or tongue, feel faint, or have difficulty breathing.
• Stop using the product if you experience hives or itching on the face or body.

Other medications and nasal saline:

• No known interaction.

How to use nasal saline solution:

• For hygiene reasons and to avoid cross-contamination, each ointment/spray tube should only be used by one person. After application, the tube nozzle should be wiped clean.
• Nasal ointment: Insert a 1 cm long string of ointment into each nostril, several times daily.
• Nasal spray: Adults and children (2 years and older) spray one to two times in each nostril several times daily.
• Infants and children (up to 2 years of age) spray once in each nostril several times daily.

How to store nasal saline solution:

• Store in a dry place below 25°C.
